Pool Hours of Operation:
6am – 9pm
Scheduled Life Guard Hours:
11am - 9pm
*If a life guard is not available during a scheduled life guard shift refer to rule number 8 below*
Pool Rules
1) Anyone in the pool area without authorization between the hours of 9pm to 6am is trespassing and will be fined $50 and reported to the Sheriff. This fine will be added to the individual's Emerald Park Homeowner's Dues.
2) Behavior: No running, rowdiness, roughness, or bad language is permitted in the pool area. The lifeguards are responsible for the safety of all persons at the pools. In the event that a person's behavior is interfering with the lifeguard's ability to safeguard or manage the pool in any way, or the person is violating the pool rules, the lifeguard has the authority to suspend the person from the pool. The following guidelines will be used to maintain safety and order at the pool:
1st offense - verbal warning
2nd offense - sit out for 15 minutes
3rd offense - suspension for the remainder of the day. If the child is suspended more than twice, the privilege of attending the pool without his/her parents will be revoked for the summer, without exception.
3) Floatation devices will be permitted in the pool as space permits. Floats may not be stored at the pool, and must be taken home each day
4) No glass is permitted in the pool area
5) No cut-off shorts are permitted in the pool
6) No pets permitted in the pool area
7) Smoking in or around the pool grounds is prohibited
8) When a life guard is not on duty children must be accompanied by a person of at least 18 years of age or older. Children arriving at the pool without an accompanying person of at least 18 years old will be sent home. When a life guard is on duty a child must be at least 12 years of age or older to use the pool without accompanying a person of at least 16 years of age or older. Children under the age of 12 arriving at the pool without an accompanying person of 16 years old will be sent home.
9) Splash pad: The splash pad is only for small children and their accompanying adult. Children in the splash pad must be supervised by an adult at all times. No disposable diapers are permitted in the pool or splash pad area, except swim diapers
10) Entry to the pool: A key fob issued by Emerald Park is required to be present with residents to gain entry to the pool area. This applies to whether a life guard is on duty or not. Residents without a key fob will be denied access
11) Pool fobs: 1 key fob will be provided per household family upon request. 1 additional key fob per family can be purchased for a fee of $5. A limit of only 2 key fobs per family will be permitted. Replacement key fobs due to damage or loss of fob may be available for purchase at a special order cost of $25.
12) Guest Policy: Monday is guest day, there will be no charge for guests. Residents shall be limited to a max of two guests on Mondays. At all other times, the fee will be $1 per guest and a maximum of 5 guests per resident household. All guests must be accompanied by an Emerald Park resident of at least 18 years of age at all timesand must sign in at the guest register (including Monday’s).
13) Private & Semi-Private Parties: Must be prepaid and scheduled with the pool manager at least two weeks in advance. Parties will be scheduled at the pool manager's discretion, but no parties may be scheduled for holiday weekends (Friday - Monday). Private parties will not be scheduled on two consecutive days, and are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. No party will be scheduled until the below fee is prepaid:
· The conduct of persons attending any event shall be governed by the pool rules. Any damage or excess mess occurring will be the responsibility of the adult resident scheduling the party. Persons under the age of 21 may not consume alcoholic beverages at any pool event. No glass is permitted in the pool or the deck area.
· In case of rain, a party may be rescheduled or a refund requested from the pool manager.
· Fees:
· Semi-Private parties: A semi-private party is one held while the pool is open to all residents, but may be scheduled during normal scheduled life guard pool operation hours. A semi-private party may include a maximum of 20 swimmers. A $50 non-refundable fee must be paid upon reservation. The shaded pavilion area will be reserved for semi-private party guests.
· Private parties: During a private party, only party guests will be allowed to use the pool. The pool will be closed to other residents. Any party with more than 20 swimmers must be private. A $175 non-refunded fee (includes payment for lifeguards) must be paid upon reservation. A sign will be posted at the entrance of the pool to inform members of closure of the pool for a private party. Maximum of 3 hours per scheduled party.
14) Swim Lessons: Lessons are available for any resident at the EP pool from the EP lifeguards only. Group and private lessons are available. Please contact the Pool Manager or Head Guard to schedule lessons.
15) Food/Drinks: Food and drinks (non-glass) are permitted on the pool deck, but must be kept away from the pools. Trash must be put in the receptacles provided. If possible, vending machines will be available in the clubhouse. Barbeque grills are located at the southeast gate for the use of all residents. Please clean the grill after use, and make sure all coals are cold when you leave the area.
